On the 13th of October 2013, we held our first skydiving event “Jump For HAE” in Pinjarra, W.A.
The day began with some very excited, yet anxious faces, all gathering together patiently waiting for their briefing on just how to jump out of a perfectly good airplane at 8000 feet!
Family members, friends, children and support teams mingled together enjoying a sausage sizzle. The children played in the fresh air, eagerly anticipating their loved one skydiving.
As the day went on, a total of 13 very brave supporters jumped and landed safely on the ground.The beaming smiles on their faces said it all! The last few jumpers were lucky enough to enjoy a spectacular sunset to end a perfect day.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in the planning, donating, fundraising, organising and cooking on the day. It was a wonderful event with families gathering together to not only support each other but to show their support to HAE Australasia.
We are already planning our event for next year – with every jumper wanting to go HIGHER next time!
